Shannon Williams totally dominated her sport as a four-year starter for Valdosta State basketball from 1986-90. She was named a first team All-America after her sophomore, junior and senior seasons and led the Lady Blazers in scoring all four years, scoring 2,636 points in her 105-game career (second all-time). Her 25.1 points-per-game average is the best in VSU basketball history. Williams was named the GSC Player of the Year three times, led the nation in scoring (26.8) as a junior and finished second nationally in scoring as a senior (26.3). A complete player, Williams led the team in rebounding three of four years and averaged 11.6 rebounds a game in her career.
