Described by a former coach as a giant on the court despite standing just 5-foot 2-inches tall, former women’s basketball player, Cathy McCurdy Guzay, was the cornerstone for the women’s basketball team during the late 1970’s. She helped the program to an outstanding 101 wins versus just 17 losses record during her playing days. She averaged eight points, seven steals, five rebounds and seven assists a game during her collegiate career.
