One of the first great Valdosta State tennis players, Jill starred for the Blazers from 1984 through 1987. She made an immediate impact on the VSU team as she played No. 1 in both doubles and singles all four years with the Blazers. She was named the Gulf South Conference Senior Player of the Year in 1987, a year in which she became the first VSU women’s player to win the conference championship at the No. 1 singles position. She finished her final season with a 12-4 singles record and a 7-6 mark in doubles after leading the squad to a second-place showing at the GSC Tournament as a junior in 1986.
