Valdosta Athletics

Dr. Cheri Tillman started the Athletic First Year Experience Program allowing her to be both a classroom professor and advisor for student-athletes and played a pivotal role in the academic success of student-athletes at VSU.  In addition, Dr. Tillman was a professor and advisor to many members of the 2011 Men's Tennis National Championship Team, as well as the 2012 and 2018 national championship football teams.  Hamilton has been a longtime volunteer photographer with numerous sports at VSU, including the men's tennis national championship teams and two of the football national championships.  Both Dr. Cheri and Hamilton Tillman have helped chair and sponsor multiple fundraising events for VSU athletics over the years.
