NCAA and Gulf South Conference Rules Compliance
Valdosta State University is dedicated and obligated to the principle of institutional control in operating its athletic program. The department operates in a manner that is consistent with all NCAA, Gulf South Conference and University rules and regulations. Valdosta State University strives for academic and athletic excellence, as well as maintaining the highest standard of ethical conduct. Involvement with our athletics program is critical to our success, but please be aware that any inappropriate activity, even if unintentional, could jeopardize the eligibility of our current and prospective student-athletes and the compliance of Valdosta State University with NCAA regulations.

The Valdosta State University Athletic Department maintains an athletic compliance program that coordinates, monitors and verifies compliance with all NCAA requirements. The office also seeks to educate the various departments at VSU and the athletic community regarding NCAA regulations, especially those relating to interactions between representatives and prospective student-athletes and current student-athletes.

NCAA rules and regulations are very complex. Due to this complexity, this information should not be relied upon exclusively. Please contact the Compliance Office at VSU with any questions or concerns you may have relating to such issues. A student-athlete's eligibility is a precious commodity and should not be taken lightly. Compliance with NCAA and GSC rules is of the highest priority for our athletics department and institution.
