Cedric O'Neal was a key member of the 2012 National Championship football team at Valdosta State and a standout running back leading the Gulf South Conference in rushing yards in 2012 with 1,198.  O'Neal is second all-time in VSU history in career rushing yards with 4,145 yards, while he is fourth all-time in GSC history.  He sits second all-time in GSC history in career touchdowns with 49 scores and leads the VSU record book in rushing touchdowns.  O'Neal was named to the GSC All-Decade Team and earned GSC first team all-league honors three times, leading the school record book with rushing scores in 2015.  O'Neal was named GSC Freshman of the Year in 2012, while he earned First Team All-America accolades in 2015.  He finished his career at 6.3 yards per carry are tied for fourth all-time in league history and second in school history.  His 306 points scored are good for fourth-most in school history on 51 total touchdowns, while he is seventh all-time in scoring in league history. O'Neal signed a free agent contract with the Philadelphia Eagles in 2016 and played for the Buffalo Bills.  O'Neal was selected by the Jousters of The Spring League in October of 2020.
