A star on the diamond between 1996 and 1999, Bobby McDonald earned All-America status as a sophomore in 1997 while earning All-Gulf South Conference honors in 1997, 1998 and 1999. He played in 195 games during his career, starting 175 of those contests, and still owns the VSU record with 44 career home runs. He slugged a school-record 23 home runs in 1997 and finished his career with a .383 batting average. McDonald scored 137 career runs while driving in 188.
