Valdosta Athletics

Bowen's addition to the 1973 team put VSC (Valdosta State College) in their first ever national tournament, which he helped repeat in 1974. Was voted the team's M.V.P. both years, and played center-field. He was a money ball-player,and made NCAA All-American in 1974. Pitched when needed, and won three tournament games, with no losses, and a 1.00 ERA. Was drafted to the Boston Red Sox in 1994.
