Andre was a four-year letterwinner for the football team from 1991 through 1994. He dominated the defensive side of the ball for the Blazers during the early 1990’s as he left the school as the Valdosta State career sacks record with 34.0 during his four-year career. He had five sacks as a freshman, seven in 1992, 10 his third season and 12 as a senior in 1994. Andre earned second team All-Conference honors as a sophomore before garnering first-team honors as both a junior and senior and helped guide VSU to its fi rst NCAA Regional appearance in 1994 before going on to play in the Canadian Football League.
