VALDOSTA, Ga. - Saturday's football matchup against Fort Valley State in Waycross, Ga. has been cancelled due to the looming threat of Hurricane Irma. No plans are in place to make up the contest.

The Blazers will now turn their attention to the team's home opener, which is set to be played in Valdosta, Ga. next Saturday, September 16, against the rival Lions of North Alabama. Kickoff time is slated for 7:00 p.m. at Bazemore-Hyder Stadium.
