Cooper Leyda joined the Valdosta State Athletic Deparment on Aug. 4, 2025, as a first year graduate assistant in the athletic communications department. He is pursuing a master's degree in business administration.
Prior to coming to TItletown, Leyda attended Appalachian State University where he earned a bachelor’s degree in Advertising. As a senior, Cooper interned with the App State Athletic Department in Strategic Communications, working closely with their Softball program in the spring of 2025.
Leyda previously worked as an Ambassador for the Atlanta Braves Foundation.
He was born in Montgomery, Ohio and moved to Apex, North Carolina during childhood.
