Trey is originally from Mooresville, NC and is a 2018 graduate from Christ the King Catholic High School in Huntersville, NC. He graduated with his B.S. in biology in December 2022 and M.B.A. in May 2024, both from the University of Dallas in Irving, TX.
While at Valdosta State, Trey will be a first-year graduate assistant for the men’s golf program which entails both helping to organize everything behind the scenes and coaching to bring team and individual titles back to Blazer Nation. In the classroom, he will be pursuing an M.S. in biology with the hopes of going to dental school after his time at VSU.
Trey played NCAA Division III golf at the University of Dallas for six years (2018-2024) and was team captain for three of those years (2021-2024). During his time at UD, he was part of three team victories, five team runner-ups, and four individual top 5s. Highlighted by the 2019 SCAC Championship team victory, which is still the first and only conference championship in any sport in UD history.
Some of his awards and accolades include the 2021-2022 Team MVP for Men’s Golf, 2022-2023 SCAC All-Sportsmanship Team, three-time SCAC Student-Athlete Academic Honor Roll. Upon completing his M.B.A., he was invited to join Beta Gamma Sigma (The International Business Honor Society) which recognizes the top 20% of M.B.A. students attending an AACSB accredited program.
Outside of college golf, Trey has been an assistant coach at the Jerry Haas Golf Camp at Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, NC. He continues to stay competitive within the amateur golf circuit throughout the year.
