NORMAN, Okla. – Valdosta State Golf had four student-athletes named to the 2025-26 Cobalt Golf All-America Scholars as announced by the Golf Coaches Association of America.
 
The four Blazers included two 2026 graduates in Joshua Burki of Bern, Switzerland and Elad Sebbag of Mountain Brook, Ala. and two returning seniors in William Carestam of Gothemburg, Sweeden and Alexander Nilehn from Goteborg, Sweden. 
 
Carestam and Nilehn both return after qualifying as individuals for the 2026 NCAA Division II Men's Golf South/Southeast Super Regional held May 7-9, 2026 at the Valdosta Country Club.
 
To be eligible for Cobalt Golf All-America Scholar nomination, an individual must be a sophomore, junior or senior both academically and athletically in NCAA Division I, II, III, and NAIA, or receiving their associate's degree and in their last year of athletic eligibility in the NJCAA. In addition, they must participate in 50% of their team's competitive rounds, have a stroke average under 78.0 in NCAA Division II, and maintain a minimum cumulative career grade-point average of 3.2. A recipient must also be of high moral character and be in good standing at their college or university.
 
205 NCAA Division II athletes from 75 schools earned 2025-26 Cobalt All-America Scholar honors. 22 NCAA Division II schools had at least four recipients while Tiffin and UMSL tied for the most recipients from one school in NCAA Division II with six.
