VALDOSTA, Ga. – The Valdosta State men's golf team fired a final round 292 on Tuesday to finish eighth at the First Federal Southeastern Collegiate at Kinderlou Forest Golf Club in Valdosta. The Blazers carded a 54-hole score of 864 on round of 284, 288 and 292. Blazer junior
Alexander Nilehn finished tied for sixth at 6-under 210.
No. 3 West Florida won the team title with an 843 score, edging No. 11 Columbus State by three strokes and No. 21 Lincoln Memorial by five. No. 20 Barry finished fourth (849), while No. 4 Florida Southern rounded out the top five with an 850 score. No. 22 Rollins finished sixth at 860, followed by No. 7 Georgia Southwestern (862), VSU (864) for eighth and a tie for ninth between No. 13 Nova Southeastern and No. 40 Palm Beach Atlantic (865). No. 28 Lynn finished 11
th (868), followed by a tie for 12
th between Tampa and No. 15 Saint Leo at 871. No. 2 Lee finished 14
th at 874, followed by Union (879) and Delta State (889) rounded out the 16-team field.
LMU's Harry Dickins won medalist honors finishing with a staggering 13-under 203 on rounds of 67, 64 and 72. There was a tie for second between UWF's Cooper Tendick and Barry's Eduardo Matarazzo at 12-under 204. Columbus State's Ian Pienaar finished fourth at 11-under 205, while Florida Southern's Max Barile was fifth at 7-under 209.
Nilehn fired rounds of 71, 67 and 72 for a 210 score to finish tied for sixth. Junior
William Carestam put together his best tournament as a Blazer finishing tied for ninth at 5-under 211 on rounds of 69, 71 and 71. Junior
Adam Waller finished tied for 43
rd with a 219 score on rounds of 72, 74 and 73. Senior
Elad Sebbag tied for 62

Kaleb Shiver finished tied for 65
th on rounds of 75, 74 and 76 for a 225 score. Junior
William Ekeroth carded rounds of 71, 78 and 76 for a 225 score and also tied for 65
th.
The Blazers now turn their attention to the Shark Invitational at Grande Oaks Country Club in Davie, Fla., Mar. 23-24 hosted by Nova Southeastern.
