TUNICA, Miss. – On another very windy day where all of the scores were elevated, the No. 32 Valdosta State men's golf team fired a final round 308 for a 54-hole team score of 912 and finished fifth at the 2025 Gulf South Conference Men's Golf Championship on the par 72, 7,204-yard Tunica National Golf Club. No. 2-ranked West Florida won the championship with an 858 score.

Despite the windy conditions, No. 7 Lee fired a final round 286 to finish second at 888, followed by Delta State (900) for third. Montevallo finished fourth at 906, followed by the Blazers. Trevecca Nazarene finished sixth (916) followed by Union (922) and Christian Brothers was eighth at 940, while Mississippi College was ninth at 969.
The Blazers, who entered the championship ninth in the latest NCAA South Region rankings, will now await their postseason fate when the NCAA Division II Men's Golf Championship field is unveiled next Friday afternoon.
Individually, UWF finished with the top four scores as Fabian Wennerlof won by three strokes finishing with a 212 score on rounds of 71, 71 and 70. Cooper Tendick and Eddie Lee tied for second at 1-under, while TJ Thompson was even par 216. Montevallo's Eric Boutwell finished fifth at 217.

th each with 226 scores. Nilehn carded rounds of 78, 73 and 75, while Waller fired rounds of 74, 77 and 75. Sebbbag finished with a 72, 76 and 78. Senior

Chase Long finished 39
th at 248 with scores of 85, 83 and 80.
