DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – The Valdosta State women's tennis team dropped a 4-0 decision to No. 4 Embry-Riddle Tuesday afternoon. With the loss, VSU fell to 5-12 on the year, while ERAU improved to 20-3.
VSU returns home for a makeup match on Friday at 2 p.m. at the VSU Tennis Complex versus No. 33 Georgia College for Senior Day and the final regular season match of the season.
ERAU won the doubles point with a 6-0 win from Charly Egger and Jessica Wira Hadipoernomo at No. 3 over seniors

Valentina Jimenez. The Eagles clinched the team point as No. 20 duo of Laura Cuesta Bret and Carla Cabero del Hierro won 6-4 over senior

Alyssa Novoa at the top spot. Blazer duo of senior
Viktoriia Fedorova and sophomore
Natalie Rainke were tied 5-5 at No. 2 doubles when the point was clinched.
In singles, Wira Hadipoernomo, ranked 17
th nationally, won by retirement over Novoa for a 2-0 lead. Benedetta Sensi posted a 6-2, 6-2 win over Pezo for a 3-0 lead. Rainke, ranked 26
th nationally, won the first set 6-2 over Cuesta Bret and was leading 6-5 in the second set. ERAU's Franzi Kremerskothien won the first set over Fedorova 6-1, but Fedorova roared back for a 6-5 lead in the second set at No. 4. Greco won the first set at No. 5, 6-3 and Jimenez won the first set at No. 6, 6-4.
