WEST POINT, Miss. – The Valdosta State men's golf team fired a final round 295 to finish third at the 2024 The Dunning Invitational on the par 72, Mossy Oak Golf Club. The Blazers finished with a 54-hole score of 870, edging host Delta State by two strokes.
No. 22 Midwestern State fired a final round 286 to take home the title with an 859 score, while UT Tyler finished second at 866. No. 16 Henderson State finished fifth behind the Blazers and Delta State, respectively, with an 879 score.
Fort Lewis finished sixth at 884, followed by Montevallo (887), Mississippi College (898), Arkansas-Monticello (900) and Christian Brothers rounded out the top ten at 915. Trevecca Nazarene finished 11
th at 921, followed by Loyola (La.) with a 924 score, Spring Hill College (935) and LeMoyne-Owen was 14
th at 1113.
Individually, Midwestern State's Seth Bearden took home medalist honors winning by ten strokes over Henderson State's Ethan Wilkins. Bearden carded a 15-under 201, while Wilkins finished 5-under at 211. Blazer junior
Elad Sebbag fired a final round 71 to finish tied for third with Delta State's Zach Olsen at 4-under 212. Sebbag carded rounds of 68, 73, 71 for the tournament. UT Tyler's Seth Campbell finished fifth at 213 to round out the top five.

Brandon Cho fired a final round 72 to move up nine spots and finish tied for 20
th with a 222 score on rounds of 75, 75 and 72. Sophomore
Alexander Nilehn finished tied for 26
th with a 223 score on rounds of 71, 75 and 77, while junior
Joshua Burki finished tied for 49
th with a 230. He posted rounds of 69, 74 and 87.
The Blazers return to action at the Hurricane Fall Invitational, hosted by Georgia Southwestern, Oct. 7-8 at Doublegate Country Club in Albany, Ga.
