VALDOSTA, Ga. – The Valdosta State men's golf team fired a second-round score of 306 for a 36-hole score of 600 in the 2024 Gulf South Conference Championship on the par 72, 7,377-yard Kinderlou Forest Golf Club. The Blazers currently sit fifth heading into Wednesday's final round.
West Florida leads the ten-team field with 3-over 579 on rounds of 282 and 297, while Lee is second at 585 on rounds of 287 and 298. Union fired a low-round of 292 on Tuesday to move up two spots to third with a 588 score (2996-292). Montevallo is fourth at 595 on rounds of 293 and 302, followed by the Blazers.
West Georgia sits sixth at 603, leading Shorter by one stroke (604), followed by Delta State (613), Mississippi College (627) and Christian Brothers is tenth at 642. Individually, West Florida's Per Ekelund fired a low-round of 70 on Tuesday moving up seven spots to lead the field with a 2-under 142 score on rounds of 72 and 70. Montevallo's Harrison Hughston is second at 1-under 143 (70-73), while there is a tie for third between Union's Gray Campbell and Lee's George Cordall at even par 144. Lee's Trey Melvin is fifth at 145 (71-74).

Adam Waller are tied for 24
th at 153 as Folsom carded rounds of 76 and 77, while Long fired rounds of 75 and 78, as did Waller.
Cho is tied for second in the field with 26 pars, while Nilehn and Long leads the team with five birdies each and Folsom and Cho have four birdies through 36-holes. Cho leads the team at even par on par 3 scoring, while he also is even par in par 4 scoring and +2 in par 5 scoring.
