VALDOSTA, Ga. – The Valdosta State men's golf team played Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College (ABAC) Thursday afternoon at Kinderlou Forest Golf Club.  The Blazers entered two teams in the stroke play format. 
 
The VSU "B" Team finished even par at 288, while the VSU "A" Team finished at 289.  Playing as an individual, Blazer junior Gage Winkler shot a 78, while ABAC finished at 306.  For the VSU "B" Team, redshirt freshman Jake Reid fired a 1-under 71, while junior Chase Long and junior Parker Highsmith each carded an even par 72.  Junior Zach Ashley fired a 73, as did freshman Landon Bassford.
 
For the VSU "A" Team, junior Brandon Cho carded a 1-under 71 as did sophomore Joshua Burki, while sophomore Ty Folsom finished with a 73.  Freshman Alexander Nilehn carded a 74 and freshman Adam Waller shot a 77. 
 
The Blazers now turn their attention to the Argonaut Invitational, scheduled for Apr. 8-9 at Pensacola, Fla., at Pensacola Country Club.
