Blazer Men’s Golf Sits T-11th Following Two Rounds of First Federal Southeastern Collegiate

VALDOSTA, Ga. – The Valdosta State men's golf team fired a 6-over 294 and a 5-over 293 for 4.  a 587 score for 36-holes and currently is tied for 11th with West Florida following two rounds of the 33rd Annual First Federal Southeastern Collegiate at Kinderlou Forest Golf Club in Valdosta. 
 
Nova Southeastern leads the 17-team field with an 11-under 565 score, six strokes ahead of Shorter (571), while Lincoln Memorial and Georgia Southwestern are tied for third at 3-under 573 and Florida Southern rounds and Lee are tied for fifth at 574 on the par 72, 7,421-yard course. 
 
Tuesday's final round is scheduled for a shotgun start at 9 a.m. Fans can access to live stats of the final round at vstateblazers.com on the men's golf schedule page.
 
Freshman Adam Waller is tied for 28th to lead the team with a 145 score, while fellow freshman Alex Nilehn is tied for 33rd at 146.  Junior Chase Long is tied for 52nd at 149, while junior Brandon Cho is tied for 59th at 150 and junior Parker Highsmith is tied for 75th at 152.  Playing Individually, sophomore Ty Folsom is tied for sixth at 4-under 140 as he carded an albatross on the par 5, 566-yard No. 11 hole in the first round.  Sophomore Joshua Burki is tied for 75th with a 152 score also playing as an individual.
 
Lee's Bennett McNabb leads the field with a 6-under 138 score on rounds of 68 and 70, while there is a four-way tie for second at 5-under 139 in the 90-player field.
