HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – Valdosta State's four-game winning streak came to an end on Saturday night, as they fell 108-87 against the 14
th ranked Chargers. VSU dropped to 6-2 overall and 1-1 in GSC play while UAH improved to 7-1 overall and 2-0 in GSC play.

Drew Mills led all scorers with a season-high 28 points as senior guard
Carlos Hart chipped in with 22 points, eight rebounds, and four assists. For the Chargers, Tommy Murr continued to dominate as the guard scored 24 points on 8-10 from the floor, 3-3 from deep, and a perfect 5-5 from the charity stripe. Alabama Huntsville limited Valdosta State's transition game, as VSU only scored six points on the break on six steals and 11 forced turnovers.
Both teams came out of the gate fast and physical, as Valdosta State led 10-7 after junior
Drew Mills hit a three with 17:38 remaining in the first half. Alabama Huntsville retaliated with a quick 6-0 run to take a 13-10 lead on a layup from Tommy Murr. Junior
Cobey Harraway ended the run on a three pointer to tie it up at 13.
The Chargers came back with two three pointers of their own on back-to-back possessions followed by a layup for a quick 8-0 run heading into the first media timeout, leading 21-13 over the Blazers.
Coming out of the break, Valdosta State was able to get the deficit to seven on another

Both teams continued to fight and shoot well, as Alabama Huntsville led 59-49.
Drew Mills led all scorers with 21 on 9-15 from three. For the Chargers, Tommy Murr led the team in scoring with 16 points on a perfect 5-5 from the field and from the line.
The whistles were active on both ends, as both teams combined for 20 fouls as VSU committed 12 and UAH committed eight. Valdosta State went 18-40 from the three while Alabama Huntsville was 20-29 and a blistering 8-14 from distance.
Senior
Carlos Hart opened the second half with a pump fake layup to get the Blazers on the board. UAH responded with a second chance bucket to keep the Charger lead at ten. Huntsville got hot quickly, as they hit three straight threes to take a 72-57 lead heading into the first media timeout.
Alabama Huntsville ballooned the lead to 17 heading into the under 12 timeout on four made three pointers and five assists. Valdosta State was shooting 4-9 from the charity stripe as they couldn't get anything to fall.
Whistles continued to be a factor in the game, as both teams were in the double bonus with just over six minutes remaining as UAH led 99-73. VSU had no answer to the hot hands, as they fell by a final score of 108-87 on Saturday night.
The Blazers are back in action on Sunday, Dec. 15 as they continue GSC play with the West Florida Argonauts at 6 p.m. at The Complex.
