VALDOSTA, Ga. – Due to heavy rain in Clinton, Miss., the Valdosta State women's soccer match at Mississippi College has moved to Clinton High School in Clinton, Miss., and now will begin at 6 p.m. ET Friday evening.
Friday evening's match for the Blazers and the Choctaws is an important one for both teams as they both are on the cusp of qualifying for the Gulf South Conference postseason tournament. VSU sits tied with Delta State, who it plays Sunday afternoon, for sixth in the league standings each with 13 points, while Mississippi College currently is eighth with 12 points, one point in front of Spring Hill College.
The Blazers are 7-6-1 overall and 4-4-1 in Gulf South Conference play, while Mississippi College enters at 7-4-3 overall and 3-4-3 in GSC play.
