ALBANY, Ga. – The Valdosta State men's golf team fired rounds of 301 and 305 for a 606 score through the first two rounds of the 2023 Hurricane Invitational Monday, on the par 72, 7,024-yard Doublegate Country Club Course. North Georgia leads the 17-team field with a 7-under 569 score heading into Tuesday's final round.
Nova Southeastern is second at 572, followed by Carson-Newman at 574, Columbus State (575) and Clayton State is at 576 to round out the top five. Anderson's Reece Coleman, ranked sixth nationally, leads the field with a 5-under 139, while there is a three-way tie for second at 4-under 140 between Columbus State's Bernard Meyer, Nova Southeastern's Michael Hay and North Georgia's Evan Thompson.
