Farrar and Agee Named Steel’s Jewelry Blazer Athletes of the Week

VALDOSTA, Ga. – For the second-straight week and third time this season, Valdosta State women's basketball graduate student Kwajelin Farrar and senior men's basketball standout Imoras Agee have been named the Steel's Jewelry Blazer Athletes of the Week.
 
Farrar, who earned her fourth honor of the season, averaged 12.0 points and 10.5 rebounds in two victories at West Georgia last week as VSU improved to a league-best 12-1 record.  Farrar went 11 of 24 from the field (.458), while pulling down 21 rebounds, including 12 on the offensive end.  She had six assists and four steals, while averaging 25.0 minutes per game. 
 
The Grovetown, Ga., native, tallied her seventh double-double of the season on Saturday with a career-high 16 rebounds, including nine on the offensive end and 15 points in the 71-64 victory.
 
The No. 5 Lady Blazers return home to host Montevallo Friday and Saturday at The Complex.  Friday's game is set for a 7 p.m. tip, while Saturday's contest is scheduled for 2 p.m.  Links to live stats, audio video streaming, ticket information and more can be found at vstateblazers.com on the women's basketball schedule page.  The games will be broadcast on 94.3 WJEM FM with Mike Chason having the call and online at foxsportsvaldosta.com.
 
Agee also earned his fourth weekly honor of the season this week as he tallied his second career double-double in Friday's matchup with West Georgia at The Complex.  He tallied 23 points along with 11 rebounds and five assists.  For the week, Agee averaged 16.0 points per game and 9.0 rebounds per game as the Blazers split the two meetings with UWG.
 
The No. 20 Blazers head to Montevallo for a pair of games this weekend, beginning Friday with a 7 p.m. ET tip and Saturday with a 3 p.m. ET start.
