VALDOSTA, Ga. – Following a thrilling 42-17 victory for the No. 3 Valdosta State football team at No. 10 West Alabama on Saturday, the newest edition of the Gary Goff Show is online now featuring head coach Gary Goff, along with junior defensive back Taurus Dotson and graduate student offensive lineman Jeremiah Campbell.

Check back with vstateblazers.com each Sunday throughout the season for new editions of The Gary Goff Show.

This edition of the show features host Spencer Van Horn as he dissects the UWA game where the Blazers found themselves trailing for the first time all season, 14-0 midway through the first quarter.  From there, VSU settled down and outscored the Tigers 42-3 the rest of the way.

Campbell, a native of Gahanna, Ohio, helped the offensive line amass over 500-yards of total offense for the third-straight game and a season-high 341 passing yards.  The Blazer offensive line didn't allow a sack for the fifth time this season in six games.  Campbell has started all six games for the red and black since transferring to VSU from Tiffin University.

Dotson, a native of Miami, Fla., had a pick-six in the game for the final score off a great defensive hit from senior Cory Roberts as Dotson went 47-yards to pay dirt in the third quarter.  It was the Blazers' fourth defensive touchdown of the season and first score for Dotson. The VSU "D" stymied the Tiger Offense holding them to just 58 yards of offense in the second half and just 188 yards following UWA's first two scoring drives.  UWA entered the game 18th nationally in total offense at 462.0 yards per game, second behind VSU in the Gulf South Conference.

Following the victory, VSU continues on the road next Saturday with a 3 p.m. ET matchup at Mississippi College.  The Blazers then return home to host rival West Georgia Saturday, Oct. 30 at 7 p.m. at Bazemore-Hyder Stadium.
