VALDOSTA, Ga. – Due to the threat of inclement weather on Wednesday, the Valdosta State baseball team has moved its non-conference game against Thomas University to Tuesday at 5 p.m., the school announced Monday.
VSU is 11-3 on the year and has won seven-straight games, including a key sweep of regional rival Rollins this past weekend. Thomas enters with a 9-13 record overall in National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) and has gone 3-7 in its last ten games. The Night Hawks won two of three games this past weekend at No. 16 (in NAIA) Webber International (Fla.).
There unfortunately will be no live stats or streaming of the game Tuesday versus Thomas, but the Blazers return to action on Friday evening at 5 p.m., beginning a three-game series against Gulf South Conference member Lee at Billy Grant Field at Tommy Thomas Park. Saturday's doubleheader is scheduled for a 1 p.m. start to conclude the series. VSU is 4-1 in the GSC this season, while Lee is 10-7 and 3-3 in Gulf South Conference play.
