VALDOSTA, Ga. – The Valdosta State women's tennis team dropped a 4-0 decision to No. 2 Lynn Sunday at the VSU Tennis Complex. 
 
The match started with a tightly contested doubles as senior Estee Widdershoven and sophomore Eva Rivoal had a strong showing at the top spot, falling 7-5 to No. 6-ranked duo of Ulyana Grib and Valeriya Pogrebnyak.  Sophomore Birte Langestein and freshman Julia Saving dropped a 6-1 decision at No. 3 as the Fighting Knights won the doubles point.
 
In singles, Grib, ranked 16^th nationally downed Widdershove, 6-1, 6-0, while Liga Eleonora won at No. 3 over Saving, 6-1, 6-3 and No. 44 Federica Mordegan won at No. 5 over junior Hera Bjork Brynjarsdottir. 
 
The Blazers (2-6) return to Gulf South Conference play Tuesday at 3 p.m. versus Auburn Montgomery at the VSU Tennis Complex.
