Valdosta State 12, Auburn Montgomery 4 (Game 1)
In the top of the first, a leadoff single, walk and a RBI single from Matt Zielonko gave AUM a 1-0 lead with nobody out.  Jonathan Brandt used a RBI ground out for a 2-0 lead.  A wild pitch plated the third run of the frame, plating Zielonko.  VSU junior hurler Jonathan Gettys got out of the inning with a ground out.

In the bottom of the first a single, walk, balk and a two RBI single from senior DJ King made the score 3-2 with one away.  A RBI single with two out from senior Andrew Williamson tied the score at three.  VSU took its first lead of the game on a walk for junior Logan Stephens, followed by a RBI double off the wall from Williamson for a 4-3 lead in the bottom of the third.

VSU added another run in the fourth for a 5-3 lead and one in the fifth for a 6-3 advantage on a double off the wall from junior Aaron Haughton.  Junior Mike Christopoulos singled home the second run of the fifth inning on a chopper over third base for a 7-3 lead.

In the top of the sixth, a walk, single and a RBI single from Dalton Cobb made the score 7-4 as VSU made a move to the bullpen in favor of junior Sean Gable.  After a tough first inning, Gettys really settled down and allowed just two hits after the first inning.  Following a miscue to load the bases, Gable got an infield pop out to end the threat as AUM left the bags full.

Two singles and a sacrifice fly plated the eighth run of the game for VSU in the bottom of the sixth and the Blazers added two more runs in the bottom of the seventh for a 10-4 lead.

Junior Logan Stephens singled up the middle for the 17th hit of the game, tying the season-high for hits for the Blazers set yesterday in the 18-2 win in the series-opener.  Junior Jordan Holt belted a single through the right side for the 18th hit and two on with one out.  Williamson doubled home two runs for a 12-4 lead.

For the opener, VSU scored 12 runs on a season-high 19 hits with two errors, while Stephens continued his outstanding weekend, going 3 for 3 with three runs scored, while Williamson was 4 for 5 with a run scored and four RBI to lead the team, including two doubles.  Six Blazers had multi-hit games.  Gettys (3-2) went 5.2 innings, allowing four hits, four earned runs, walked three and fanned seven.

Valdosta State 9, Auburn Montgomery 7 (Game 2)
Two walks and a wild pitch began the nightcap for the Blazers as VSU went to the bullpen in favor of junior Zach Blankenship replacing freshman Heston Mosley with nobody out in the top of the first and another walk loaded the bases.  Grayson Blackwell used a 3-2 RBI single for a 1-0 lead for the Warhawks.  A sacrifice fly to right plated the second run of the inning. A ground out to third ended the frame as AUM left the bags full.

Williamson continued his outstanding day with a solo home run to left in the bottom of the second for a 2-1 deficit, for his third round-tripper of the season.  AUM loaded the bases in the top of the third with two out, for the second time in the game.  Casey Henderson, the number nine hitter in the lineup, hit a bloop-single to short left field for two RBI and a 4-1 lead.  A great play from King deep behind second and a throw to first barely beat the runner for the third out, preventing further damage in the frame.

A walk, single and a RBI double from Williamson, followed by a RBI single from Christopoulos made the score 4-3 in the bottom of the fourth.  A hit batsmen loaded the bases as the Blazers still had no outs in the frame.  A bases loaded walk tied the game at four as AUM went to the bullpen, replacing starter Todd Burkett for Josh Flowers.  Junior Jowenrick Daantji singled home two runs through the right side for a 6-4 score.  King then doubled home two more runs as the Blazers swelled the lead to 8-4 and Stephens singled home a run for a 9-4 lead as the Blazers batted around.

AUM scored a run with two out on a RBI single form Quintarrious Harrington for a 9-5 score and then made it 9-6 with a RBI double from Hayden Friesen in the top of the seventh.  A single to right and an error plated Friesen for a 9-7 score with nobody out, off senior reliever Trevin Eubanks.  Following an out, AUM hit an infield single for two on with one out.  Pinch-hitter Hunter Hillyer ground out to third, advancing both runners to scoring position.  VSU got out of the inning for the first conference sweep of the season.

The Blazers tallied nine runs on ten hits with two errors for the nightcap as Williamson was 2 for 3 with two runs scored and two RBI.  Junior Anthony Dahl (3-2) earns the win as he allowed three hits, one earned run and one strikeout in one inning.
