VALDOSTA, Ga.- The Valdosta State Blazers women's basketball team looks to continue its hot start to the 2019-2020 season on Saturday against Georgia College. The Lady Blazers are scheduled to face the Bobcats on Saturday, December 7 at 1:30 p.m.

• The Bobcats are coming off an 52-47 victory over West Alabama.
• GCSU enters the matchup with a 3-4 record overall.
• Sophomore guard Harper Vick leads the Bobcats in scoring with 10.9 points per contest.
• Junior La'Shandria Mallard leads GCSU in rebounds averaging 7.7 rebounds per game.
• GCSU averages 55.0 points per game, while shooting 32.6% from the field.

 
Who is VSU?
 

• VSU is coming off a weekend sweep of the VSU Thanksgiving Classic, with wins over Georgia Southwestern and Columbus State.
• The Lady Blazers hold a 6-1 record overall and a 1-1 record in Gulf South Conference play.
• Junior guard Kayla Bonilla leads the team in scoring with 21.0 points per game.
• Senior Cheray Saunders (17.9 ppg) and senior Nari Garner (9.6 ppg) have emerged as two scoring options for the Lady Blazers.
• Saunders has been the complete package so far for the Lady Blazers, averaging 17.2 points, 3.1 assists, and seven rebounds per game.
