THE LEAD: The Valdosta State Blazers volleyball team fought hard against rival West Georgia on Saturday afternoon. The Blazers fell to the Wolves, three sets to one, as the Blazers only had a .125 hitting percentage.

First Set:
- Seven errors doomed the Blazers early, as the Wolves took an early lead.
- VSU had a .107 hitting percentage in the first set, with ten kills.
- The Wolves used multiple runs to over come a late push from the Blazers.

Second Set:
- VSU tallied 16 kills in the second set.
- UWG only hit .122 and totaled six errors.
- The Blazers held off a late rally from UWG, to take the second set.

Third Set:
- West Georgia jumped out to a quick 11-7 lead.
- VSU battled back, making it a 12-9 game
- The Wolves used an 13-6 run to close out the third set.
- VSU only hit .095 and had eight errors.

Fourth Set
- VSU struck first, but both teams battled early on.
- UWG overcame nine errors to take a late lead.
- VSU battled back taking a 24-23 lead.
- However, the Wolves rattled off three straight points to take the set and the match.

Inside the Numbers:
- VSU committed 29 errors, with eight each in the second and third sets.
- The Blazers finished with 47 kills and a .125 hitting percentage
- Â Freshman Kennedy DeLuca impressed with 11 kills and three blocks.
- Freshman Katie Demo totaled 26 assists and one ace.
- Senior Dariah Powell tallied a double-double with 14 digs and 16 kills.
