VALDOSTA, Ga.- The Valdosta State Blazers women's basketball team is gearing up to host the Valdosta State Thanksgiving Classic this weekend. The Lady Blazers are scheduled to face Georgia Southwestern on Friday, November 29 at 7 p.m. VSU will then face Columbus State on Saturday, November 30 at 8 p.m.

• The Hurricanes are coming off an 80-65 victory over Middle Georgia State.
• GSW enters the VSU Thanksgiving Classic with a 4-0 record.
• Sophomore guard Jamesha Samuel leads the Canes in scoring with 13.0 points per contest.
• Senior Mariya Trimble leads GSW in rebounds averaging 6.8 per game.
