THE LEAD: The Valdosta State Blazers volleyball team dropped a tough match on Saturday, 3-1, against Alabama Huntsville.

First Set:
- UAH hit .310 in the first set and only committed one error.
- The Blazers could not overcame eight errors.
- VSU tallied ten kills in the first set.

Second Set:
- VSU hit an outstanding .344 in the second set.
- Nine errors hurt the Chargers, as the Blazers started to pull away.
- VSU finished off the Chargers in the second set, holding off a late UAH rally.

Third Set:
- UAH jumped out to a big 14-9 lead.
- VSU pushed for a late rally, as the Blazers cut the deficit.
- Both teams used runs, before the Chargers pulled away to take the third set, 25-21
Fourth Set:
- The Blazers used another quick start to take the momentum early in the fourth set.
- UAH rallied multiple times, as both teams battled back and forth
- UAH finished off VSU with .300 hitting percentage.

Inside the Numbers:
- The Blazers finished with 50 kills and a .182 hitting percentage
- Senior Dariah Powell (16 kills and 14 digs) tallied a double-double.
- Junior Rebecca Sills totaled 22 digs and three assists.
- Junior Tammy Reyes Perez totaled 35 assists.
- Sophomore Jessie Mooney tallied eight kills, 14 digs and two blocks.
