THE LEAD: The Valdosta State Blazers volleyball team fell in four sets on Saturday to the Union Bulldogs.

First Set:
- Union only had a .146 hitting percentage in the first set.
- VSU impressed with a .282 hitting percentage and 16 kills
- Union committed seven errors, as VSU took the first set.
Second Set:
- The Blazers struggled in the second set but were able to string multiple runs together to keep it close with the Bulldogs.
- Six errors hurt the Blazers, as Union started to pull away.
- Union finished off the Blazers in the second set with a .464 hitting percentage.

Third Set:
- Union jumped out to a quick lead, using a .277 hitting percentage.
- VSU battled back even though they only hit .077.
- Both teams used runs, before the Bulldogs pulled away to take the third set, 25-20.
Fourth Set:
- The Bulldogs used another quick start to take the momentum early in the fourth set.
- VSU rallied multiple times, but seven errors hurt the Blazers.
- Union finished off VSU with 15 kills.
Inside the Numbers:
- The Blazers finished with 43 kills and a .129 hitting percentage
- Senior Dariah Powell tallied 12 kills, four blocks and nine digs.
- Junior Rebecca Sills totaled 17 digs.
- Junior Tammy Reyes Perez totaled 21 assists and one ace.
