VALDOSTA, Ga. - The Valdosta State men's tennis team took care of business in Pensacola, Fla. and secured a 7-2 over Delta State in neutral Gulf South Conference men's tennis action on Friday.

Jordi Mas and Fernando Rivas sparked the Blazers in doubles action and gave VSU their first win of the day at No. 2 with an 8-5 win over Hicham Azzaoui and Jeoffrey Noblecourt. Shortly after, the Statesmen scored a win of their own after Mason Vice and Joao Yamacita upset Valdosta State's No. 24 ranked duo of Leo Blay and Xavier Pineda on court 3 with a narrow 9-7 victory.

The Blazers picked up momentum, however, after No. 12 ranked Axel Holm and Eden Peleg scored an 8-6 win at No. 1 over Timo Schmitz and Andrew Hildenbrand.

With a 2-1 advantage in the match, Mas put the match in VSU's control at No.2 singles with a 6-4, 6-1 win over Noblecourt, and No. 19 Pineda followed with a dominant 6-2, 6-0 win over Yamacita at No. 3.
