Box Score CLEARWATER, Fla. – After a strong start to the Eckerd Spring Invitational on Friday night in a win against Tampa, poor weather conditions brought Valdosta State softball's weekend to a grinding halt during a Saturday morning contest against the Rollins Tars.
 
The game was halted due to rain with a 1-1 tie in the top of the seventh inning, and the status of the game is pending a decision by the NCAA.

The second scheduled game of the day against Florida Tech was cancelled.
