Box Score Florence, Ala. – The Lions of North Alabama put together a successful attack against the Valdosta State soccer team on Sunday afternoon to overtake the Blazers 5-0 in Gulf South Conference action in Florence, Ala.
 
The Blazers (1-10-4, 1-6-3 GSC) posted eleven shots in the contest, including two shots on goal by Mallory McDaniel, but two early scores by North Alabama set the tone for the Lions and gave UNA a lead that VSU was unable to overcome.
 
UNA's Susan Lang and Kylie Huey teamed up for the Lions' two first half goals, while Eleanor Costello connected for each of the Lions' second half scores.
 
The Blazers will return home this week for a pair of GSC matchups, beginning on Thursday against the visiting Lee Flames. The matchup is slated for a 7:00 p.m. start at The VSU Soccer Complex.
