NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Valdosta State soccer, who went undefeated at home for the first time in program history, can earn a home quarterfinal in the Gulf South Conference Championship with a win or tie Tuesday at Trevecca Nazarene. Kickoff is set for 2 p.m. ET at the Trevecca Soccer Pitch.

The Blazers (6-5-3, 5-3-2 GSC) finished 5-0-3 at home after a 4-0 win over Christian Brothers on Oct. 23. The win moved them to 17 points, fifth in the GSC standings and one point behind fourth-place Delta State (18), which has finished its regular season. The top four seeds host quarterfinals Nov. 1.

Valdosta State, which clinched a tournament berth Oct. 17, would move into fourth with a win Tuesday, reaching 20 points. A tie would put the Blazers level with Delta State at 18, and Valdosta State would hold the tiebreaker after its 3-2 win over the Statesmen on Sept. 12.

Sarah Hudson leads the offense with 10 goals and 22 points. Ameliah Dixon and Kyndal Smith each have 8 points (3 goals, 2 assists), and Natalie Ocampo has a team-high four assists. The Blazers average 1.93 goals per game and have four shutouts. Alannah Zander has a 1.04 goals-against average in five appearances, and Adrienne Cardona-Colon has played 10 matches with a 2.08 mark.

Scouting the Trojans

Trevecca (6-5-4, 3-4-3 GSC) has clinched a berth in the tournament as the eighth seed. The Trojans are 0-2-3 in their last five matches after tying West Alabama 1-1 on Oct. 23. Anna Farrell leads the team with 6 goals and 16 points, and Elsa Bengtsson adds 5 goals and 14 points. Kylie Bradshaw has 3 goals and 3 assists, with two game-winning goals. Goalkeeper Penelope Charroin has a 1.91 GAA and two shutouts. Trevecca has beaten second-seeded Lee 1-0 and tied Union 2-2 and Spring Hill 1-1.

Valdosta State is 1-0-1 against Trevecca in the last two meetings. The Blazers won 4-2 at home on Oct. 17, 2024, and the teams played to a 1-1 tie in Nashville on Sept. 28, 2025. Valdosta State led 1-0 at halftime of that match before the Trojans equalized in the second half.
