Box Score VALDOSTA, Ga. - With heavy rain scheduled to move into the Valdosta area during the afternoon, Valdosta State has announced its baseball game against Georgia Southwestern has been cancelled.

The Blazers and Hurricanes were scheduled to play at Billy Grant Field at 5:00 p.m. this evening, but current forecast have a 95 percent chance of rain beginning at 4:00 p.m. and a 100 percent chance by 5:00 p.m., leading to the postponement of Wednesday's contest. A make-up date has not been finalized as of yet and will be announced at a later date.

With Wednesday's cancellation, Valdosta State returns to action Saturday, February 28 when it travels to Cleveland, Miss. to take on Delta State in a Gulf South Conference series. The two teams will play a doubleheader beginning at 2:00 p.m. Eastern on Saturday followed by a single game at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday.
