FOOTBALL GAME NOTES - NCAA PLAYOFFS - WEST GEORGIA

PEACH STATE RIVALS BATTLE FOR SUPER REGION 2 TITLE

The game will feature a pair of teams that like to run the ball versus a pair of defenses that are stingy against the rush. West Georgia averages 241.7 rushing yards per game while Valdosta State averages 224.9 yards per game on the ground. Meanwhile, the Wolves allow 144.8 rushing yards per contest while VSU gives up 148.1 yards a game. Both teams are also adept at creating turnovers as the Blazers have tallied 30 turnovers on the season, including eight in their two playoff games, while UWG has created 32, six of which have come in postseason play.

Valdosta State currently scores 33.9 points per game. On the year, the Blazers feature a balanced offense as, along with the 224.9 yards per game rushing, they also pass for 236.1.
