Gracie will be entering her third year with the Blazers this year in 2021. This will be her first year serving as Assistant Athletic Trainer for our Sports Medicine Staff. Thurson primarily works with the Men's Basketball Program as well as with Cheer and the Red Hots.
The Neptune Beach, FL native, received her Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training from the University of West Florida in 2019, where she worked as an athletic training student with their football program. After completing her bachelor's, Thurson continued her education and athletic training career at Valdosta State University. She received her Master's in Higher Education Leadership from Valdosta State in May of 2021, where she spent the past two years working as a Graduate Assistant Athletic Trainer with men's/women's Basketball and volleyball team here at VSU.
