PRIOR TO VALDOSTA STATE: Played at Texas-San Antonio (UTSA) for five seasons, including a redshirt season ... Played in all 11 games as a junior in 2017 and was part of a defense that led Conference USA in seven statistical categories and ranked in the top five nationally in five areas ... Had his best season statistically in 2015 where he tallied 20 tackles in 12 games and 11 solo stops ... He had a season-high three tackles in the opener at No. 22. Arizona  and matched it the next week against Kansas State ... Was a two time C-USA Commissioner's Honor Roll member.  In High School, was a speedy athlete who showed game-changing ability at the prep level … team captain who played receiver and free safety during his career and scored 19 total touchdowns his final two seasons … a second-team All-Class 5A and All-First Coast (Florida Times-Union) and first-team all-district and All-North Atlantic Conference selection as a senior … caught 25 passes for 574 yards and eight touchdowns and also picked off three passes that season … coached by Tom McPherson … also a three-time regional qualifier in track & field who set the school’s 100-meter dash record … an honor roll student.
