Biography
AS A JUNIOR IN 2010: Consistently ran as one of the top three runners on the team while competing in five of the six races for the Blazers. Fastest race came at the Greater Louisville Classic, where he ran a personal best of 27:35 for the 8K distance and led the team with a 42nd showing. After battling injuries throughout the season, managed to finish out the season running a season best of 36:12 for the 10K at the South Region Championships. Also earned his first Academic All-American honor.
AS A SOPHOMORE IN 2009: Continued his performances as one of the top runners on the team. Best performance of the season came at the Erskine Invitational where he was the second Blazer to cross the line, running a personal best of 21:12 for 6K for a top 10 finish. Also ran a personal best for 4 miles at the Memphis Twilight Invitational, with a 22:28, over two minutes faster than his previous best. Capped off the season with season-best times of 28:08 for the 8K and 39:05 for the 10K.
AS A FRESHMAN IN 2008: In his first year as a Blazer, competed in all seven races for the team. Solidified himself as one of the top runners on the team, as he placed inside the top 5 consistently throughout the season. Cracked the 28 minute barrier for the 8K distance for the first time in his career at the Georgia Collegiate Championships, running a personal best of 27:59. Also ran personal best times of 24:46 over four miles and 37:19 for the 10K. Was voted “Rookie of the Year” by his teammates.
