Pat Brown arrived at Valdosta State as wide receivers coach in February 2023. He most recently was HC at Seabreeze HS. In 2021, he led Seabreeze to its first district championship in 14 years, along with a playoff berth for the second year in a row. He led Seabreeze to the playoffs in 2020 with an overtime play in victory against Gulf Breeze and was named the Florida Athletic Coaches Association's District 9-6A Coach of the Year.
In his inaugural season in 2019, he was part of one of the biggest turn arounds in the state of Florida as his team went 5-5, taking over a program that previously won six games combined in the previous three seasons before his arrival. During his tenure as head coach from 2019-2022, he has helped send over 21+ student-athletes to college, spanning all levels of college football.
Brown was a former receiver at Rutgers (07-09’) and Bethune-Cookman University (2010). He graduated from Rutgers in 2010 with his bachelor’s degree in Economics and, in 2012, he graduated from Bethune-Cookman University with his master’s degree in Transformative Leadership.
After his collegiate career concluded, he signed with Saskatchewan Roughriders of the CFL in 2011 where he played until 2012. In 2013 he played for the Hamburg Blue Devils of the GFL.
Following his professional playing career, he returned to Daytona Beach with his current wife Michelle Brown. They have two children together, Patrick Brown Jr (5) and Layla Brown (4).
