Luke Byrne joins the Blazer football staff in 2025 as the assistant offensive line coach.

Byrne spent the past six seasons playing offensive lineman at Samford University as he played in 48 games on the o-line for former VSU football head coach Chris Hatcher. The bulldogs made it to the NCAA DI FCS Playoffs in 2022 as they defeated Southwest Louisiana in the first round before falling to North Dakota State in the quarterfinals.
