Joseph DeAngelis is a graduate assistant with the Valdosta State football program while working on his graduate degree at Valdosta State University. He is from Macedonia, Ohio. DeAngelis earned his Bachelor of Science in Recreation and Sport Management from Coastal Carolina University after starting his college career at John Carroll University. He built a strong foundation in coaching, recruiting, player development, and football operations during his time in college athletics.
Before joining the Blazers, DeAngelis spent two seasons as a Student Football Assistant Coach at Coastal Carolina University. He mainly worked with the defensive backs and helped with all special teams. His duties included film breakdowns, scouting reports, practice planning, preparing for games, evaluating recruits, and mentoring student-athletes in their sports and academics. He also gained experience as a Student Football Equipment Manager, supporting daily equipment operations, game-day logistics, and sideline communication for the Chanticleers football program.
At Valdosta State, DeAngelis is the Defensive Assistant Coach and Assistant Inside Linebackers Coach. He helps with player development, recruiting, film study, and daily activities of the football program. As a former collegiate football player at John Carroll University, he is dedicated to developing student-athletes and building successful programs through leadership, organization, and commitment to excellence.
