Jakai Clark is beginning his first season as a Graduate Assistant with the football program at Valdosta State University.
Clark, who is from Loganville, Georgia, was a prominent offensive lineman at Grayson High School and then went on to play at the University of Miami. While with the Hurricanes he played at both center and right guard and was an important contributor to the offensive line.
Later Clark moved to SMU, where he played in all 14 games during the 2024 season, appearing in 13 of them at center and thus helping the Mustangs to reach the ACC Championship Game and the College Football Playoff. He was awarded Second Team All-ACC status and received a place on Phil Steele’s All-ACC Fourth Team.
Clark is bringing a great deal of experience from his time playing at the collegiate level to the Blazers as he starts his coaching career at Valdosta State.
