CAREER: 2022 Finalist for Fred Mitchell Award...Earned secodn team all-GSC in 2021...Thiele is 31 of 40 in field goals for a 77.5 clip, while he is 117 of 119 in extra-points...He has 210 career points scored for ninth all-time in school history in scoring...He has one rush for 17 yards and is 0 for 1 in passing...Thiele has made 38 punts for 1,529 yards and a 40.2 average, while he has 130 kickoffs for a 62.2 average, 71 touchdbacks and one out of bounds.  

IN 2022 AS A SOPHOMORE: Had another outstanding season for the red and black as he finished third nationally in field goals per game this season at a 1.55 clip to lead the GSC, while he is 20^th nationally in field goal percentage at a 77.3 clip on 17 of 22 field goals...His 17 made field goals are the second-most in the GSC this season and he tied the school-record for field goals in a game, going 5 for 5 in the season-opener against Keiser (9/1/22)...Thiele earned GSC Special Teams Player of the Week honors three times and was named D2Football.com National Special Teams Player of the Week for his efforts against Keiser...He was 19^th nationally in scoring at 8.6 points per game this season for fourth in the GSC, while he is fifth in the league in total points scored with 95 to lead the team...He was 44 of 45 in extra-points this season and had a long field goal of 45 yards...Thiele also handled a majority of the punting duties this season with 30 punts for a 39.57 average with a long of 64...He had two touchbacks, three fair catches, nine punts inside the 20 and ten punts over 50 yards...Thiele also had 38 kickoffs for 64.0 average with 24 touchbacks.  

IN 2021 AS A FRESHMAN: Earned Second Team All-GSC in 2021 helping lead VSU to the national title game for the sixth time in program history ... Handled field goal duties, extra-point duties and kickoffs for the Blazers ... Held the GSC lead in scoring at 8.2 points per game for 26th nationally, while finishing third in the GSC in field goal percentage at a .778 clip on 14 of 18, while he was 73 of 74 in extra-points for a team-high 115 points total ... Named GSC Special Teams Player of the Week three times ... Thiele had 91 kickoffs for 5,621 yards and a 61.8 yard average per kickoff with 47 touchbacks.  He also had eight punts for 342 yards and a 43.28 average with a long of 56 yards ... Thiele had two touchbacks, one fair catch, one inside the 20 and two over 50 yards ... He tallied his season-high 56-yard field goal in the opener against Savannah State and finished the season converting his final eight field goals attempts, while converting his final 30 extra-points.

PRIOR TO VALDOSTA STATE: Saw action in one game at Florida International as a redshirt freshman in 2018 ... Registered one tackle against Old Dominion (9/8)… Provided depth at kicker for one of the most productive special teams units in Conference USA ... Played football at Menendez HS ... Named to the All-First Coast Football Team as a kicker ... Became the first Menendez kicker to play college football ... Made 11-of-13 field goal attempts as a senior ... Was 4-of-9 on field goal attempts as a junior and 22-of-25 on PATs ... Four-year letterwinner for his high school's soccer team.
