IN 2016-17 (JUNIOR): Started all 32 games on the season and quickly became the Lady Blazers sharp shooter... Fueled the offense with 161 field goals, racking up a .397 percentage... Drained a team high 78 three-pointers out of 178 attempts... Placed 17th in the nation among all women's basketball players in Division II for her three-point field goal percentage (.417)... Secured 275 rebounds on the season with an average of 8.6 per game... Recorded 30 steals... Ranked among the league's top ten in both scoring (14.9 ppg / 8th) and rebounding (8.6 rpg / 7th)... Tallied 477 points on the season... Honored with First Team All-GSC, Second Team All-South Region and GSC Honor Roll... PRIOR TO VALDOSTA STATE: In 2015-16, played in 31 games (starting four), averaging 6.8 points per game while shooting 37% from the 3-pt line. She scored a season high 25 points against Clark Atlanta (12-15-15) followed by 22 against Norfolk State (1-9-16). She pulled down a season high of 10 rebounds vs. North Carolina A&T (2-27-16). In 2014-15, started 7 of 8 games before a season ending injury sidelined Dixon. Averaged 10 points per game while shooting 37% from the 3-pt line and averaged 4.6 rebounds per game. In 2013-14, played in 29 games (starting one), and averaging 3.1 points and 1.8 rebounds per game… She scored a season high 16 points against Delaware State (2-17-14), pumped in 13 against Southern Miss (11-30-13) and 11 against Coppin State (2-15-14), when she pulled down a season high eight (8) rebounds. In high school, Dixon was a two-sport letter winner in basketball and track and field at Scotlandville Magnet High School in Baton Rouge, La., where she finished her senior season averaging 12 points, 10 rebounds, five assists, two steals and one block shot per game, earning All-District Honors. In addition, Dixon and her Hornets won the East Baton Rouge District Championship and a second place finish in 4A-5A... In her junior season, Dixon finished the season averaging 12 points, seven rebounds, three assists, four steals and one block per game, earning All-District Honors. In addition, she was named the team’s captain and earned the Outstanding Hornet Award for her studies in Forensics and Physical Education).
