VALDOSTA, GA. - The Valdosta State volleyball team will return home after an on the road win to kick off conference play against the Flames of Lee University Friday at 6 p.m. This match will also include a special partnership with Chick-Fil-A. For every Blazer point scored during this match, VSU will throw out a free original chicken sandwich.

The Blazers aim to carry their momentum into the GSC matches as they approach their conference opener. After recently playing Middle Georgia State in a midweek game, VSU has now shifted its focus to conference competition.

At the beginning of the season, Valdosta State secured substantial contributions from all areas of the team, with Paola Aviles taking the lead in the offensive efforts. Aviles has recently been awarded the GSC Offensive Player of the Week for her performance in VSU's fall tournament. Eimy Negron Domenech, on the other hand, has still been offering a solid defensive performance having obtained GSC Defensive Player of the Week recognition earlier in the season.

Avery Mullins has been involved in directing the Blazers' offensive play as setter, and VSU has also received important inputs from Camryn Childers, Ava Keuntjes, Addison Cooley, Maddie Kilmer, Kinsley Timmons and Asia Montagnani.

With GSC play now beginning, the Blazers hope to defend their home court and begin conference play on a strong note Friday night.
