MACON, Ga. - The Valdosta State volleyball team heads out on the road to face the Knights of Middle Georgia on Tuesday Sept. 15 at 6 p.m. 

Valdosta State will enter the match with a record of 5-5 having played their first home games of the season at The Complex over the weekend. The Blazers have secured wins against Lander and Paine College, as well as playing against Embry-Riddle and Rollins during their Fall Tournament.

Eimy Negron Domenech is still serving as the backbone for the Blazers' defense, having been awarded the Gulf South Conference Defensive Player of the Week at the beginning of the season. Avery Mullins has been directing the VSU attack as setter, and Paola Aviles, Eva LaRochelle, Camryn Childers and Maddie Kilmer have each contributed offensively during the season landing numerous kills and blocks.

Scouting The Knights:

Middle Georgia State has a record of 2-9 going into the game on Tuesday. The Knights have just come back from a weekend in which they competed at the AUM Invitational in Montgomery, Alabama, securing wins against Auburn Montgomery and Albany State but suffering a loss to Arkansas-Fort Smith.

McCall Wolf is in charge of the Knights' offensive play, and Jiyanna Rivera has assisted in directing the Middle Georgia State offense from her position as setter. Trinity Mitchell has also been a key figure in the defensive efforts of the Knights.

This game provides VSU with one last chance to finish up the non-conference part of the schedule on a higher note before shifting focus to Gulf South Conference action.
